George III, IV and William IV reined the British Monarch during the late Georgian period. Victorian jewellery also falls into this category which is between the times of 1837 to 1901 where Queen Victoria reigned through this whole period.
It was the up and coming middle class that demanded jewellery in mass quantity for the market of these times. Included in this demand was a large range of antique engagement rings which also followed through into the Art Nouveau times which was towards the end of Queen Victoria’s reign and was between the times of 1890 – 1915. There were also the Edwardian times between 1901 and 1915 where the antique diamond rings of these times tended to be made from diamonds which often contained filigree detail which is twisted gold or silver wire which were very popular on the modern Market of these times.
